Visits are a minimum of 2 hours and take place at 2 different farm sites.

The first half of the visit takes place at Eshott Heugh Farm, where we have a classroom inside a converted barn.

The second half is at the main farm at Causey Park, where depending on the time of year there may be lambs or cattle inside the sheds.

Or either farm can be visited independently. Most visits will cover the following 4 areas:

  • Crops and Chemical Spraying
  • Farm Machinery & their different uses
  • Rearing Animals
    Diversification

At Eshott Heugh there are facilities to offer a cookery demonstration using fresh ingredients from the farm.

All visits will include stimulating discussion on issues including organic farming, genetically engineered crops and the future of farming.
